The USA celebrates Memorial Day this weekend.Originally called Decoration Day this first became a national holiday on May 30, 1868,
to honor those who died in our Civil War.
The name was changed to Memorial Day in 1967 and is now celebrated on the last Monday
in May and includes all National wars.
This weekend starts the Summer season in the US and is celebrated tradionally
with Memorial Services and picnics.
As you go through the weekend take time to remember the fallen heros
of yesterday and today.
