Flag Day

June 14 is flag day, a time to display our patriotism by displaying the flag.

My flags will be displayed in my deck planters which are planted with

red and white petunias and the flag makes them perfect.

This is a large desktop which can be download by clicking on the above image.

Enjoy!

National Day of Prayer

Tomorrow is the 61st annual National Day of  Prayer celebration;

you can read more about this here .

Prayer has been an integral part of our nation since it's beginning and will

continue as long as we have the freedom to pray.

Please take time tomorrow to pray for wisdom for all our leaders;

they need our prayers.

September 11, 2001-2011

This Sunday we commemorate the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks that

took place on September 11, 2001.

No one will ever forget where they were when the attacks took place and if you

are like me the images that filled the television screens have been embedded in your mind.

Too many people lost their lives that day through no fault of their own.

Many heroes were born that day as they responded to the tragedies at the

Word Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Arlington Virginia.

Heroes were also on United Airlines flight 93 when in crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Please take time on Sunday to remember the victims and their families,

the first responders and the heroes.

God Bless America!

Our Founding Fathers designed our nation with Divine help and blessings.
As a nation we need to continue to seek God's guidance and blessings.
Please pray for our Armed Forces, our nation, our government and all our
citizens devastated by the tornadoes and floods.

Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) would have celebrated his 100th birthday tomorrow.

He is my favorite and most admired modern day president and I

frequently say to my husband "where's 'Ronnie' when we need him?".

If you'd like to read more of his wonderful quotes you can find them here.

This is a large size desktop that you can save by clicking on the above image;

if you need a regular size desktop you can download that here.

Happy Birthday President Reagan!
