Mother's Day

I just returned from a visit to my mother who is 93 years young so it's only fitting

that I do a Mother's Day desktop in her honor.

I chose to adapt a lovely tutorial by Aurien which you can find here

Pretty Flower

Hummingbird

I just did this desktop as a tribute to the first Ruby-throated Hummingbird to arrive in our back yard this year. He arrived yesterday and immediately let us know he was here.

These little birds are so friendly and intelligent; when they arrive they hover outside the screen

porch to let us know they're here. They also do the same thing when the feeders need filling

during the summer. Not the least bit shy, they sit in the tree above while the feeders are replenished and frequently fly right past our heads when we're outside.

They provide us with many hours of entertainment from Spring until Fall.
