Memorial Day

When looking for a Memorial Day image I found this picture of the
WW I Memorial in Jackson, Mississippi, on the Library of Congress site.
I immediately knew I had to use that monument as a desktop to pay tribute to
all the heros who have so valiantly fought for our freedom yesterday and today.
As you celebrate Memorial Day please take time to reflect on our servicemen
who give unselfeshly of themselves so that we can live free.
God Bless America!

Wynken, Blynken and Nod

Our upcoming theme is "Stars" which immediately brought me to this desktop
of "Wynken, Blynken and Nod" which was one of my favorite childhood rhymes.
I had memorized it years ago but have forgotten much of it since then.
The poem was written by Eugene Field and published in 1889;
if you've never read it you can find it here
The illustration is by Minnie Dibdin Spooner from the book
The Golden Staircase: Poems and Verses for Children and is in the public domain.
This is a large desktop and can be saved to your computer by clicking on the image.
If you need a 1024x768 size you can find that here
I hope you enjoy "Wynken, Blynken and Nod" as much as I.

National Day of Prayer

Our Founding Fathers designed our nation with Divine help and blessings.
As a nation we need to continue to seek God's guidance and blessings.
Please pray for our Armed Forces, our nation, our government and all our
citizens devastated by the tornadoes and floods.
Thursday is 'National Day of Prayer'; for more information click on the logo to the left.
God Bless America!
