Memorial Day

Memorial Day originally called Decoration Day and celebrated on May 30.
It's a day to remember all heros who gave their lives serving our country
and fighting for our freedoms.

if you need a standard size you will find that here
Please take time this weekend to honor all our fallen heros.

Southern Magnolia

Southern Magnolia-click to enlarge The Southern Magnolia trees are blooming where I live; they are absolutely majestic trees
all by themselves but when in bloom are especially beautiful.
The Magnolia bloom is one of my favorites but unfortunately,
they don't last very long once cut and placed in water.
I've chosen the blossom for my "trees" desktop rather than the entire tree.
This was my father's favorite tree and for that reason is very special to me.
This is a large size desktop and can be saved by clicking on the image;
if you need a standard size you can find that here
I hope you enjoy the beauty of the Magnolia as much as I.

Angel Oak

The theme this month is trees and I've chosen the Angel Oak in
South Carolina for a desktop; you can read about this magnificent tree Here
I have visited this tree several times and it is absolutely awesome.
The picture is in the public domain; the background is a photo I took on one of my visits.
